Tesla Wall Connector — Kitsilano Character Home
Level 2 hardwired install on a 1928 character home with an original 100-amp panel and detached garage. Combined a load-managed EV circuit with rebate paperwork end-to-end.
The panel was maxed out at 100 amps with a heat pump and induction range already installed. A traditional 40A dedicated circuit would have required a full 200A upgrade — pushing the project past the homeowner's budget and timeline.
Installed a Tesla Wall Connector with dynamic load management, sharing the existing 60A range circuit. Ran the new home-run through the crawlspace to the detached garage, added a subpanel disconnect for code compliance, and coordinated the CleanBC + BC Hydro rebate applications.
Delivered a fully permitted, code-inspected Level 2 install in 2 days without a panel upgrade. Homeowner received $1,350 combined in rebates within 8 weeks of filing. Charge rate: 32A / 7.7 kW — adds ~50 km of range per hour.

“We'd been quoted a $6k panel upgrade by two other contractors. ElectroMax found a load-managed solution, handled every piece of the rebate paperwork, and were done in a weekend. Cleanest install work I've seen in this house in 20 years.”
